Town Hall Meeting, Jan 29th 2012 7PM EST
With the change in leadership recently, we feel that the community should get the opportunity to address any of their concerns with the HC. Therefore we have scheduled a Town Hall meeting for 1 week from today, January 29th 2012 at 7PM EST. All members are invited to attend, and if we have at least 30 members in attendence (not including HC) I will be raffling off a copy of Bulletstorm to one lucky member.
Beginning of Forum Changes
The first major change we are making to how the forums work will be the removal of (L) from EVERYONE'S usernames. This will be done slowly at first, people who respond to this thread will be the first ones to have their usernames changed, as well as the HC.
Please note that ALL members will have the tags removed from their usernames within the next 10 days so if you notice your username and password no longer work, PLEASE try it without the (L) tag before messaging myself or one of the other HC members for help.
Code of Conduct Changes
The High Council has been working hard towards updating the Code of Conduct page to include more current and relevant information as well as removing some of the formality and redundancies. The new Code of Conduct will contain much of the same information as the current document, simply updated and more user-friendly. Please make your way to the Code of Conduct page later in the week to familiarize yourself with the new, updated community guidelines.
Return of Chuck Skyline!
And finally, I'd like to officially announce the return of Chuck Skyline. Chuck will be returning to take up the position of MP Leader and has been assigned to the rank of O-10 General.

Team Legion Community Raffle
Donate to the cause and win cool prizes!
The-Legion.net's professional SC2 team, Team Legion, has been performing very well in North America, Mexico, and Australia. Since our upstart (thanks to this community) in September, we have won more than fifty titles in the competitive scene. We are all very happy to have solid players who can represent the community. With a team house in Korea, a new NA coach, and popular players in the SC2 community, Team Legion shows promise coming into the new year.
It is very much our desire to make the team and this community more symbiotic. Soon the Team Forum will be located on these forum boards, and every team member will be given a forum account so that they can use the forums. However, please keep in mind that these players are busy practicing. They do not always have time to be consistently forum active.

Without further ado, LgN is launching the first Team Legion Raffle! This is a raffle for The-Legion.net community to participate in, and gives members the chance to win cool prizes while supporting our team. All funds from this raffle will go toward player contracts, travel expenses, and other team expenses.
But if you don't play Starcraft 2, fret not. You can still win cool t-shirts and gift certificates for supporting the cause. Team Legion is a great way to help expose' our community. Already LgN has popularized the-legon.net's sc2 division, and has earned sponsors which provide things like our recently added 100 slot Ventrilo server. Soon we will even have apparel for the community to access. All in all, raffle tickets will not only give you a fair shot at some new loot, but will go toward the betterment of the community as a whole.
So here are the details...
RULES- The raffle is retricted to The-Legion.net community. If you want to participate, just join.
- Raffle tickets are 3$ USD
- Members may purchase a maximum of 5 raffle tickets
- When purchasing a raffle ticket, make a direct donation to funds@the-legion.net. One ticket is 3$, 2 is 6$ etc. Post here with your #of tickets purchased, along with your paypal email so that we have proof of the purchase. Fake entries will result in being banned from the boards. If you do not post here you will not be included in the raffle!
- On February 25th, all the names will be put in a bowl. The names will consequtively be drawn until all the winners have been chosen.
- All donations above 15$ will only contribute five tickets to the drawing. Excess money will be considered a donation to community funds.

Legion’s TheoRy is an American protoss player who is a highly ranked player in CSL (Collegiate Star League). TheoRy has a patient style, which is reflected in his often times tech heavy army choices. TheoRy has also performed well in several online tournaments and small LAN’s in NA, most recently demonstrating his 2v2 prowess by winning GameFest 2011.

Legion’s JimRising is considered by many to be Mexico’s best zerg player. Since his introduction to our roster, Jim has made an impressive showing at WCG Mexico and various Mexican and North American LANS/online tournaments. JimRising is known in Mexico for his creative play, and also maintains a stream which is featured on our team page.

Legion’s AuRora is unquestionably one of North America’s best female players, having taken 1st at ESL Iron Lady #1 and 2, as well as placing top 8 in 2010 Newegg Wanfest, and making it to ro6 in her very first LAN: at MLG Dallas. AuRora continues to put on an impressive performance in America, and sometimes streams her games.

Legion’s Avilo is coined the King of Nukes, after he launched over 40 nukes against an oppoent at MLG. Since the beta, Avilo has demonstrated excellent mech play, and creative builds that take opponents off their guard. Avilo has a very popular stream in North America, where he plays for hundreds of viewers routinely.. Avilo has placed in the top 40 at multiple MLG’s, and continues to place well in North American and European playhem tournaments.

Luxury has some very strong stalker play and timing pushes with protoss that have made him somewhat resented by Zerg players. He also acts as our team translator, helping to fasilitate communication between our divisions around the world.

Specialist is a bio oriented player with extremely strong timing pushes and hyper aggression. He has three GM accounts in North America with 60+% win rates. If you want to know how to kill your opponent fast, Specialist is your man.
*Note: Korea player schedules are tighter and will require more patient scheduling. In addition, Legion's ChiTa, BoSs, and Blackman are available only for 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or monobattle with no english. If you win the raffle and need details on any of these players, PM Darigaz(L).
